McPHERSON, Robert Lee, "Doggie," age 75, of Brookville, passed away Sat., Aug. 27, 2005 at the V. A. Medical Center after a sudden battle with cancer. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy with service during the Korean War, a member of the Miamisburg American Legion, V.F.W. Post 3288, Brookville and Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Miamisburg. He also managed at Woody's Market for several years. Bob is survived by his mother Maggie Marie Mahaffey; his children Sheree Anne Sizemore, Kimberly Sue Evans and Brent Eugene McPherson; grandchildren Angela Marie Miracle, Melissa Gail Evans, Darren Robert Sizemore, Ashley Estell Johnson and Ryan William Evans and great-grandchildren Bryce, Adison, Jordan, Siaira, Savannah and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his wife whom he joins in Heaven Gail Marie and his great-granddaughter Alyssa Marie. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 - 8 P.M., Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 at the V.F.W. Post 3288, 210 Carr Dr., Brookville. Private inurnment will be held at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the V.A. Medical Center Hospice, 4100 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45417 in Bob's memory. The family would like to thank the Veteran's Medical Center I.C.U., Hospice unit staff and doctors and V.F.W. Post 3288 for all their support during this time. "Doggie" will be missed in our lives but not in our hearts. You have earned your wings to fly with your beautiful wife in God's home now and may you forever be together and in love. We will love and miss you daddy.
