Robert Edward McMann, age 86, of Kettering, passed away on March 17, 2024. Arrangements through Newcomer North Chapel, Dayton, OH.
Robert Edward McMann, age 86, of Kettering, passed away on March 17, 2024. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1974, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. He first enlisted in the 1st Calvary, and he is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was a combat engineer.
Following his military career, Bob worked for the Montgomery County Parks & Recreations Department for 23 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. & Mamie, and his brother, William Jr.
Left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 63 years, Donna McMann; his siblings: Alice McMann, Gracie Hill, and James McMann; children: Ellen McMann, Teresa Stevens, and Steve (Michelle) McMann; grandchildren: Amber (Ken) Wolf, Scott (Amanda Delgrosso) Malone, Brittany (Devin Driscoll) McMann, and Justin McMann; great-grandchildren: Madelene Wolf, Chloe Delgrosso, Nolan Delgrosso, and Kaiden McMann; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bob will be laid to rest with military honors at 11:00am on Thursday April 4, 2024 at Willow View Cemetery.
