LINDERMAN, ROBERT BURTON
84 of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2004. "Red" as he was known to family and friends is survived by his wife, Ruth; stepson, Jim Wheeler of San Antonio, Texas; and a loving "family" including brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and friends from across the U.S. Red was an even-tempered man who earned the respect of his co-workers and associates throughout his life. A World War II veteran, he lived in the Miami Valley almost all of his life and retired from Dayton-Walther Corporation in 1984 after a long and productive career. As a younger man, Red was an athlete of note and won many awards for his bowling and golfing skills. He will be remembered as a loyal friend, a loving husband, and an individual of great character and unquestioned honesty. He will be missed by all that knew him. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2004 in the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that individuals so inclined make a monetary contribution to their church or favorite charity in Red's memory.
