Robert "Bob" Lightcap

Robert "Bob" Lightcap, age 87, passed away at his daughters home surrounded by his loving family on September 5, 2024. He was born on December 25, 1936 in Germantown, OH to the late Vera and David Lightcap.

Bob retired from GM after 33 years of service. He loved being a softball coach, farming, bowling, football, baseball and bingo. Bob was in charge of the Turkey every Thanksgiving and did an amazing job. He would can green beans from his garden so he would have them year round. Bob's greatest joy in life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his pups, children and especially his grandbabies.

Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Connie Lightcap; his brothers, David and Ralph Lightcap and his granddaughter, Ashley Vancil.

He was survived by his daughters, Wendy (Anthony) Jones and Diana Ward; his grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Riley and Alyza; his great-granddaughters, Kaidence and Berkley; his siblings, Helen White, Earl (Beth) Lightcap and Roy Lightcap; his in-laws, Belinda Hellard and Janie (Paul) Hartman. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.

Bob will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park in Dayton, OH.
