Robert Lee Turner

Robert L. Turner, age 75, of Huber Heights, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010. He was born February 6, 1935, in Logan County, West Virginia, to the late W. Mose and Emma Turner. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Willis "Tye" Turner; and his sisters, Bernice Cupp and Clarice McKenzie. Robert is survived by his wife of 20 years, Evie Turner; son, Rev. David L. (Sharon) Turner; step-children, Melissa Kinnaird and Steve Williams; grandchildren, Jamie and Jeremy Turner; great-grandchild, Hailey White; sisters, S. Beatrice (Rev. Vernon B.) Collins and Sylvia (Delbert) Collins; and many other friends and relatives. Special thanks to all the staff at MVH 6SAC, especially Annette, Katie, Allison, Nikki, Ryan, Beth, Scott, Deb, and Steve. Robert served in the U.S. Navy. He was also a member of New Life First Church of God. Robert worked for Brinks INC., where he retired. The family will receive friends Monday, April 19, 2010 from 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). Services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home, with (son) Rev. David L. Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
