Robert Lathrop Jr.
July 21, 1922 — April 24, 2014
Robert E. Lathrop Jr., age 91, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2014 in his apartment at One Lincoln Park in Kettering, OH.
He was born July 21, 1922 in Richmond, IN. He is survived by his wife, Doris and sons, Mark and Bob III (Joyce) and grandchildren, Katie (Matt) White, Matthew (Ashley) Lathrop, Jessica (Ash) Hopkins, and Sarah; and great grandchild, Shaden Lathrop.
Bob was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He was a World War II Army veteran and was employed by NCR and National Twist Drill and after retirement was a self-employed expert in drills and cutting tools. Bob was a Mason, a Criterion Club Member and was a member of David's Church. He enjoyed bridge, golf and traveled extensively all over the world with family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Senior Independence in Dayton, OH and/or the Ding Darling Wildlife Society in Sanibel Island, FL.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
