Robert L. Hamp

Robert L. Hamp, age 83 of Dayton, passed away on February 11, 2012. He was born on April 12, 1928 to the late Nicholas and Maltilda Hamp. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hamp and his sister, Doris Price.

Robert is survived by his wife, Irene Hamp; children, Cynthia (Ron) Wilmoth and Judy (Trish) Hamp; grandchildren, Shane (Kim) Wilmoth, Cherie (Bruce) Wilmoth, Justin (Stephanie) Wilmoth, and Angela Harker; great grandchild, Peyton Wilmoth; sister, Esther Slage, and other family members and good friends.

Robert honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Delphi after 12 years of service and he later worked at NCR.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday February 16, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A graveside service will take place the following day February 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery.
