Robert L. Devney

DEVNEY, Robert L., age 54, passed away at home Tuesday, February 26, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy, and his brother, Johnson. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Mary; daughter, Hope Roe of Somerset, KY; step sons, Jason (Sadie) Humphrey of Yellow Springs, OH and Steven Humphrey of Seattle, WA; sisters, Cora Thompson of West Carrollton, OH, Sheena (Paul) Smith of Dayton, OH, and Martha (Herb) Calhoun of KY; brothers, Charles (Vickie) Eldridge of Covington, KY and Jim (Barb) Eldridge of Miami, FL. He worked on and off for The Magic Shop for 20 years before moving on to Behr, where he worked for the past 13 years. He was a devoted husband and father, whom will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Rev. Gabor Nitch officiating. In lieu of flowers, family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
