Robert James Voge

Robert J. Voge, age 90, of New Lebanon, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

He served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant in the European Theater during WWII. Robert graduated in 1949 from Ohio State with a BS degree in horticulture and for many years ran the Voge Nursery Company. Robert was a member of the Oakwood United Methodist Church for 81 years. He was also active in the Rotary and Kiwanis clubs.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Coyle Voge; and his parents, William Glenn & Ella Voge.

He is survived by his children, Barbara (William) Johnson and Dave Voge; grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Dan (Rebecca) Johnson, Dave Voge II and Autumn J. Voge; great-granddaughter, Sofia Johnson; step-children, Ted (Julie) Coyle, Andy (Amy) Coyle, Pam (Brad) Beasore and Betsy (Mark) Borling; step-grandchildren, Alyssa Coyle, Abby Coyle, Samantha Beasore, Hank Beasore, Audrey Beasore and Sarah Borling.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 10-11 am at Oakwood United Methodist Church (206 E. Hadley Ave., Dayton, OH 45419). A memorial service will follow at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to Oakwood United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank Crossroads Hospice for their loving care.
