Robert E. Horton was born March 19, 1938 in Davidson, NC to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will and Louise Bell Horton. Robert was 1 of 7 children.
Robert graduated from Torrence-Lytle H.S. located in Huntersville, NC. Throughout high school, Robert drove a school bus. He also loved spending time with family and friends as well as driving around in his well groomed cars. Robert took up many trades, but the one he loved the most was car repair.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Catherine (Benjamin) Livingston and Hattie Phifer.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 17 years, Lutricia; 2 children, Sheena Lattimore and Gerald Hudson; 2 step-children, Allen Coats, Jr. and Lutreasa Coats; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; siblings, Dorothy (Jerry) Mills, Willie B. West, Lois E. (Rev. Thomas) Mitchell, Douglas MacArthur (Ariah) Horton and many other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH.
