Robert Hoppe

HOPPE, Robert M. "Bob", 90 of Kettering passed away Sunday, December 24, 2006 at Masonic Healthcare. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; 3 sisters; and infant daughter. Robert is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriet Hoppe; sons Robert (Mary) Hoppe, Richard (Linda) Hoppe, and Kenneth (Pat) Hoppe; daughter Sharon (Carl) Taylor; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Phyllis, Dorothy, and Ruth; daughter-in-law Maureen Hopkins; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was a member of United Methodist Church of the Cross, Dayton Masonic Lodge #147, and was a veteran in the U.S. Army with service in WWII. Bob retired from Dayton Daily News after 30 years. A memorial service in his honor will be held 2:00PM Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Masonic Home, Springfield, OH Hillman Bldg. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ohio Special Olympics in care of the Masonic Grand Lodge, P.O. Box 629 Worthington Ohio, 43085.
