Robert Henry Puthoff, 90, of Dayton, Ohio, passed into our Lord's hands February 2, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born October 2, 1922, in Dayton, the son of the late Henry and Margaret Puthoff, "Bob" was a life-long Dayton resident.
He cherished his family and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. February 24, 1946 he married Dorothy Jean Otto, who survives. Robert and Dorothy have four children: Thomas Puthoff, Linda Holoviak, Susan Voss, and Douglas Puthoff. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Puthoff, sister, Norma Cox, and grand daughter Emily Voss.
Robert retired from General Motors Frigidaire Division after 33 years. A World War II veteran, Bob served on the Destroyer USS Griswald as the chief engineer. A memorial service will be held at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Friday, February 8, 2013, at 1:30 PM.
