Robert Hapner

Robert Lee Hapner, age 72, of Fairborn, lost his long battle with cancer on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He retired from Ironworkers Local 290 after spending over 50 years in the construction trades. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 12, 1936 to Lester A. and Lulu Olive Hapner. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenneth, Paul, Richard, and David Hapner. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Joyce; son, David , daughter-in-law, Michelle, and grandson, Daniel of Carlsbad, CA; sisters, Barbara (Eddie) Weber of Raleigh, NC and Sara Mohrman of Lexington, KY; brothers, Donald (Ruby) and Philip (Jackie) of Dayton, and many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss their "Uncle Bobby". The family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 10 AM until the time of service to celebrate Bob's life at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio with John Stevenson officiating.
