Laravie, Robert H., age 84, of Miami Township, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. He was born January 5, 1928 to the late Henry & Gertrude (Carey) Laravie.
Robert was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving during WWII. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, Class of 1949. He retired from PK Lumber with over 25 years of service, and after retirement he worked at the Centerville Sam's Club for over 20 years. He was also a long time member of St. Henry Parish.
Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years: Mary Jo (Binder) Laravie; daughters and son-in-law: Christine Flinn, Renee Kelly & Nicole (John) Hendricks; sons and daughters-in-law: Jeffrey (Lisa), Gregory (Virginia), Mark (Lise), Brian (Terri) & Curtis (Molly) Laravie; 24 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother: Barry (Pat) Laravie; and numerous other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Road. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends AT CHURCH on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the nurses and staff at both St. Leonard and Hospice of Dayton for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Parkinsons Foundation, Hospice of Dayton or St. Henry Church in memory of Robert.
