Robert H. "Bob" Koester
Age 88, of Riverside, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007, at his home.
Bob is survived by his wife of the past 66 years, Florence E. (Brown) Koester; one son, Larry & his wife, Kadee Koester; two daughters, Cynthia Smith and Lynn Koester; two grandchildren, Bradee and Brenden; foster daughter, Theresa & her husband, Eric Fry; two sisters, Helen Gammell and Eleanor & her husband, Bob Brodowski; one brother, William & his wife, Ruth Koester; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. During WW II he served in the U. S. Army and went on to retire from General Motors in 1975 with 35 years of service.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., Friday with Pastor Stephen Kimpel officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Bob to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
