Robert H. Hughes

HUGHES, Robert H., age 54, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007. He was born December 19, 1952 in Kettering, OH. He served his country during the Vietnam Era with the United States Army and was employed by the Veterans Adminstration of Dayton. He was an avid outdoors man and active member of the YMCA where enjoyed working out and playing racquet ball for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Liddy (Bertrams) Hughes; three children, Scott, Bridget, and Brandon; his mother, Mary Hughes; three brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hughes; one nephew, Brett Hobbs. Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2007 from 12-2 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek where services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
