Robert A. Griffith

Robert A. Griffith "Bob", age 88 of Clayton, passed away July 5, 2017 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born April 3, 1929 in Sterns, KY to his late parents, Jasper and Christine Griffith. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Essie Rhoden and Betty Lou Bolton; brother, Jack Griffith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Neva (Burton) Griffith; children, Robert L. Griffith of Dayton, Vickie (Randall) Walsh of TX, Jeffrey (Phyllis) Griffith of AZ and Randall (Robin) Griffith of Dayton; grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) and Jared Walsh, Krysten (Don) Smith, Jessica and Tyler Griffith and Jacob Griffith; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Avyn, Avery, Kyleigh and Beckett; sister, Billie Sue Marlow of TN and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bob worked and retired from Chrysler Corp after 30 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment with military honors will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
