FAIRCHILD, Robert Gene

Age 85, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 24, 2015. He was born August 27, 1929 in Lowemansville, KY to the late, Ray and Mary Fairchild. He is also preceded in death by 7 siblings, Roberta, Raymond, Ruby, Ralph, Ruel, Roy, and Rushie.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Monta Irene Fairchild. He is also survived by his daughters, Frances Irene (Kenneth) Kline and Carolyn Jean (Randy) Taulbee; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fair Taulbee and Andrew L. (Nicole) Kline; and by numerous other dear family members and friends. Robert retired in 1979 from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a very patient and hardworking who always gave to his family. Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2015 from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Interment to follow at Byron Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Vitas Hospice or to The Hospice of Dayton for their love and care.
