Robert "Bob" Sparrow, age 82, of Springfield, passed away October 12, 2014 at his residence.
He was born August 6, 1932 in Xenia, OH, son of the late Carl and Alice Sparrow.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha; sister, Norma Derrick; brother, Donald Sparrow and numerous brother and sister in laws.
Bob is survived by sons, Wayne and life time partner James Hook of Vandalia and Glen Sparrow of Springfield; daughters, Glenda Sparrow of Springfield and Brenda (Bill) Randolph of Adams County; grandsons, Wayne A. Sparrow, Clint O. Sparrow and Shane M. Sparrow; great-granddaughters, Ciara, Morgan and Kaya Sparrow; sister-in-laws, Norma J. Hillard, Vesta Ebright and Arthur and Wilma Dunlap of Xenia.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
