Robert Eugene Speer

Robert "Bob" E. Speer, 67, of Kettering, passed away May 29th. He was the youngest of four children, of the late Edward and Gertrude Speer. Bob is survived by his children, Samantha Thompson (Tanner), Elijah Speer and David Speer; siblings, David and Shelly; grandchildren, Nathalie Speer, Ruby Thompson, Cooper Thompson and Cortland Speer; nephew, Bobby and nieces, Trudi and Terri. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward "Eddie". Bob graduated from Trowtood-Madison High School in 1965. He became a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and a member of SMW Union Local #24. A talented musician, he played bass and blues harmonica in the Greater Miami Valley area. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.
