The Honorable Robert E. Packard, Mayor of the City of Union, Ohio, for the past 15 years, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 18, at the City Hall, at the age of 61.
Mayor Packard is survived by his wife of the past 42 years, Carol (Casto) Packard; four children, Brian & Mary Packard, Linette Montero, Christopher Packard and Trisha & David O'Daniel; 13 grandchildren; and by two sisters, Norma Veit and Judy Woodruff.
He retired from Butternut Bread with 19 years of service. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Minnich Cemetery, Union, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to the family to be used at their discretion, c/o Union City Hall, 118 North Main Street, Union, Ohio 45322.
