Robert E. "Bob" Lutz
Age 70, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, March 31, 2007. He was born in Dayton December 11, 1936 to Robert J. & Blanche Lutz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lutz; and by his aunt who raised him, Opal Lutz.
Bob is survived by his Guardian Angel and fiancée, Peggy Heiser; two sons, Robert & Cheryl Lutz, Nick & Tara Lutz; two daughters, Carol & Joey Langone, Trisha & Gary Miller; two granddaughters, Haley & Jaime Lutz and another grandchild due to be born in September; and by his extended family and many good friends.
Bob was a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church; a life-time member of the V.F.W. Post #2800, American Legion Post # 619; and AmVets Post # 24. Bob retired from the United States Navy with 20 years of service and served in Viet Nam. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers contributions should be made in memory of Bob to either St. Jude Children's Hospital or Boys & Girls Town. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
