Robert E. Denning

Robert E. Denning, age 65, of Kettering, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. Robert is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karen Denning; children, Michelle Thomas, Stephen Denning, Aaron (Jami) Dickey, Angela (Jason Smith) Dickey and Jason Robert Denning; grandchildren, Kayla Dickey, Austin Smith and Chelsea Dickey; 6 brothers; 5 sisters, including his close sister, Madeline Hatfield; and many other relatives and friends.

Robert served 4 years in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He also served 18 years in the Army Ohio National Guard and 22 years retired Defense Finance and Accounting. Robert was an avid fan of sports; he especially loved the Florida Gators.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 17, 2010 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432). The service will be held Saturday September 18, 2010 at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
