ALBIN, Robert "Bob" E., age 81, of Dayton, passed away Thursday July 7, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Albin; son, Bruce Albin; brother, Richard Glenn Albin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Winsome Albin; daughter, Patti (Dick) AmRhein; mother, Carolyn Huls; daughter-in-law, Sheila Albin; two granddaughters, Amy (Andy) Bailey and Jamie Albin; 9 great-grandchildren, Sabrina Hammond, Derick Hammond, Mikayla Hammond, Clayton Albin, Tobie Kelley, Lexie Kelley, Elizabeth Riddle, Tasha Bailey, and Sam Bailey; sisters-in-law, Mary Albin and Shirley (Al) Doner, Jean (Bruce) Bradshaw; brother-in-law, Woodrow Myers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He served 2 years in the United States Air Force. Bob was a past leader of the Explorer Scouts. He worked at Howell Equipment, Angel Manufacturing, and retired from Gem City Engineering after 22 years as a mechanical engineer.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping, RVing, fishing, and spending the winter months in Florida where he enjoyed deep sea fishing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice in Bob's memory.
