Robert "Mitch" DePriest, 59, of Medway, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2014. He was born April 16, 1955 in Ironton, Ohio.
Mitch was a graduate of Tecumseh High School and was a US Army Veteran after 10 years of service with the 82nd Airborne.
He belonged to the American Legion Post #286. Mitch worked as a mechanic for the city of New Carlisle for a number of years and retired as a truck driver for US Express in 2011 where he received his 1 Million Mile Safety Award.
Mitch is survived by his, parents Bob DePriest and Ivanell Blair; daughters, Shannon (Kevin) Seals and Tammy (Brandon) Childress; grandchildren, Austin, Skylar, Ethan, Ian, and Lonnie; siblings, Sheila Mershon, Debbie Heil, Patty Martin, Billy "Bo" Lockwood, Kasey DePriest; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday May 1, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, May 2, 2014. Burial in the Dayton National Cemetery with Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o Shannon Seals.
