Robert W. "Bob" Crews, 77, of Pike County, OH passed away May 30, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Robert was born in Scott County, Illinois on June 17, 1939, the oldest son of William and Barbara (Rigor) Crews. He married Barbara Ann Curtis on January 23, 1959 and she passed on November 28, 1999 and were married for 40 years. On February 8, 2005 he married Kathleen A. Foley in Huber Heights, OH and she survives.

Bob graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill with a Bachelor's degree in engineering and received his Master's degree in Business Management from the University of Dayton. He worked as an engineer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, retiring in 1996. He began his career at the Aeronautical Research Lab at Wright Patterson from 1962 to 1964, and spent the rest of his career as a part of the Foreign Technology Division at Wright Patterson AFB. He was President of the Huber Heights Jaycees in 1967-1968, was the Jaycee State Vice President in 1968-1969. Bob received the Bob Rosecrans Award for the US Jaycees in 1970. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Huber Heights and attended Sinking Spring Community Church in Sinking Spring, OH. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved his Ranger boat, loved to travel, garden, bird watch, was a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan and collected Wheel Horse tractors. He was a fan of old westerns and wilderness reality shows, was an avid poker player where he and the poker gang played the first Friday of every month for at least 40 years. For those who knew him, his favorite place in the world was "Paradise" in Pike County. He loved and enjoyed his grandkids and his family and will be greatly missed by all.

Bob is survived by wife, Kathleen; two sons, Robert Kyle (Teri) Crews and Curtis T. (Robyn) Crews; a daughter, Hallie D. Crews; a stepson, William (Ann) Impson; a stepdaughter, Amy (Terry Haddon) Michelle; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Valerie, Zachary, Kylie, Liam, Curtis Michael, Luke, Drew, Arthur, Rick, Monica and Destiny; a brother, Kenneth Edward (Patty) Crews; and numerous close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara Ann; a sister, Patsy Smith; a brother, Charles "Tony" Crews; and a granddaughter, Heather Jones.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on June 8, 2017 at 11:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45424 with Pastor Greg Seaman officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Sinking Spring Community Church, 23 Main Street North, Sinking Spring, OH 45172.
