Age 78, of Troy, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011.
Bob is survived by his wife of the past 31 years, Lois O. (Hensley) Ellis; seven children, Vanessa (Tim) Shawler, Felicia (Jonathon) White, Brian Jaynes, Terry Jaynes, Mike Ellis, Matt Ellis & Todd (Jessica) Ellis; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Ellis & Raymond (Sharon) Ellis; his best friend, Robert Jaynes; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Bob was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served in both Korea & Viet Nam. He retired from Dayton Gear & Tool with 30 years of service.
He was devoted to his family and his job. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Dayton National Cemetery.
