Robert Lee Calhoun Sr.

Robert Lee Calhoun, age 77, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 8, 2023. He was born in Breathitt County, KY on September 9, 1945 to the late John and Sarah Calhoun. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son: Eric; and siblings: Kearney Back, Alice, Bonnie, Mary Jo, Charlene, Patricia, and Dale Calhoun.

Bob is survived by his children: Angela Taylor, Robert (Kirstin) Calhoun, Jr., and Tammy Calhoun; grandchildren: Bobby, Katlyn, Bryan, and, Dakota; siblings: John Calhoun, Martha (Mitchel) Casolari, and Freda (Ray) Sturgeon; special friend Mary Baudendistel; many other nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, family, and friends.

Bob loved to be outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, boating, and going camping. He also liked to cook and always enjoyed a down home, country meal. Bob was a fan of music, he loved Lynyrd Skynyrd and Merle Haggard. He was a devoted family man and loved to spend time with them and his friends. He may have seemed rough on the outside, but he was a teddy bear on the inside.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will immediately follow at 5:00pm.
