Robert Daniel Burton

Robert Daniel Burton, age 67 of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020. He was born April 7, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late George and Wilma Burton.

Dan was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed NASCAR, gardening, the OSU Buckeyes, traveling the country, visiting the ocean, going Broncoing and good tequila. Dan was good at finding things which created his interest in collecting. Some of his collections included wooden boxes, dragons and different types of music. Dan had a good way with people, was well liked, and would do anything for anyone who needed it. Amongst his many qualities were his alluring and unique friendly voice and his joking personality. Also of great importance to Dan were his beloved dog, Buster and sweet cat, Callie.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brothers, Vincent Wade Burton and George Edward Burton.

Dan will be missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia; siblings, Tempest M. Burton, Ellen D. (Richard Grigsby) Burton and Bethany G. Burton; nieces and nephews, Jason W. Burton, Alex Burton (Elizabeth Merhoff), Jessica Burton (Bryce Allison), Samantha (Josh) and Laura (Thomas), Steven Santos, Jr, Serena Santos and her children; great nieces and nephews, Kaden Levi, Sebastian Dolphus, Juniper Rose, Stella Ferne, Erika Jo, Natalie Kay and Charles Wayne; sister-in-law, Cathy (Steven) Santos.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton.
