Robert N. Burney

Robert N. "Bobby" Burney (some called him Bo-Pete), age 76 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. He was born June 23, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alfred Burney Sr and Ann Burney-Skipper. He is also preceded in death by sisters, Earlean Brown, Eloise Roach, Sandra Barr and brothers, John Burney, Alfred Burney Jr., Charles Burney and Curtis J. Skipper; stepmother, Betty Watson; stepfather, Curtis T. Skipper. Praise the Lord; he was a member of the Mt. Enon MBC.

Bobby is survived by his five sisters, Gwen (James) Carlton, Theresa (Jonathan) Woodfork, Wanda Burney, Yvonne Cosby and Vivian (Timothy) Everett; three brothers, Ronald Burney, William Skipper, and Shane Skipper; special nieces and nephew that visited him regularly at the nursing home, Chenita Webb, Ulonda Burney, JoNae Garret and Ricky Brown, he truly enjoyed their visits and we are giving a special thanks to them. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and family and special friends Nell Hollis (thank you for being a sounding board) and Tasha Haynes (whom he called daughter).

A walk-through visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on August 17, 2020. A private family memorial service will be held from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
