Robert "Bob" Mcbroom

Robert Charles McBroom (Ret. SMSgt, Air Force), age 69 and a 30 year resident of Riverside, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Clemis (Roberts) McBroom of Hermon, NY; three brothers, William "Billy", Donald "Doc" and Johnnie "Mac" McBroom; father-in-law, Merton Matthews of Clare, NY.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna McBroom; sons, Robert W (Tammy) McBroom of New Carlisle, Darren (Jenny) McBroom of Warsaw; daughter, Candy (Tom) Evans of Twinsburg; grandchildren, Jessica Tignor of Vandalia, Zachary McBroom of Twinsburg, Laura McBroom of Clarksville, TN and Samuel McBroom of Twinsburg; siblings, Clemis (Jud) Durham of Hermon, NY, Claudette "Sussie" (Dick) Dickerman of Groveland, FL, Sarah (Duane) Klar of Dade City, FL, Christina (Glenn) Light of Killeen, TX, Janette Kelly of KS, Claude McBroom of Newport, NH; sister-in-law, Cheryl McBroom of Snellville, GA; mother-in-law, Hazel Matthews of Clare, NY; sister-in-law, Brenda (Dennis) Ashley of Clare, NY; sister-in-law, Patricia Matthews of Canton, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Bob graduated from Knox Memorial Central School in Russell, NY, class of 1962. He proudly served and retired after nearly 26 years from the U.S. Air Force, having served 2 tours during the Vietnam War. Bob was the first Eagle Scout in the town of Russell, NY around 1961.
