Robert "Bob" E. Kinsey

Robert Eugene Kinsey, age 90, of Dayton passed away on October 10, 2024. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 31, 1934 to the late Dwight and Elsie Kinsey. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou and their son, Mike Kinsey.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan (David) Patrick, Karen Winters; daughter-in-law, Cecille Kinsey; grandchildren, Ryan (Rae) Schulte, Chad Schulte, Trent (Katie) Kinsey, Sarah (Peter) Sivilay, Matt Winters, Katie Kinsey, Zach Winters, Megan Albrecht, Josiah Winters and great-grandchildren, Simon Sivilay, Valerie Sivilay, Kasey Albrecht, Rory Kinsey, Ursa Schulte, Elliott Sivilay, Leo Albrecht, Gemma Sivilay, Ellie Kinsey and Elsie Winters; along with nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. Bob's family meant everything to him.

As a little boy, Bob was a member of DeMolay with his parents. In his youth, he was an active Boy Scout and as a young man he served his country in the Army National Guard. Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, uncle, grandpa and great-grandpa. He served as a volunteer at Kettering Hospital for 40 years. Bob attended Fairhaven Church for 52 years, serving as an usher faithfully for the majority of those years. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and was an avid golfer. Every summer Bob looked forward to the annual Family Reunion and being surrounded by those that he loved so much and who loved him. 

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Pastor Peter Sivilay to officiate.
