Robert E. Bowell

Robert E. Bowell, age 87, of Dayton passed away on December 17, 2023. He was born in Dayton on September 11, 1936 to the late Paul and Florence Bowell. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Brenda Sanders; grandson, Michael Hinrichsen and brother, Bill Lehman.

Bob is survived by his children, Mindy Meltzer, Rob (Francesco) Boell, Shelley (Peter) Hinrichsen; son-in-law, John Sanders Sr.; grandchildren, John Sanders Jr., Ryan (Stephanie) Etienne, Ashley Sanders, Brent (Lindsay) Williams, Abbey (Stephen) Lofaro, Brittany (Jason) Adams, Jorden Hinrichsen, Hannah (Jake) Niles, Lauren (Montana Iverson) Meltzer; great-grandchildren, Griffin Sanders, Emily Adams, Riley Adams, Taylor Adams, Weston Niles, Avery Niles, Haven Williams, Liam Lofaro, Luxon Williams and special friend, Judy Hill; along with many other family and friends.

Bob worked as a plumbing contractor and owned his business, Bost Plumbing. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, golf, car racing and old movies, as well as his grandchildren in their many activities. He was always willing to help others and was a good friend to many. Bob will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2023 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor David Tackett to officiate. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
