Robert "Bob" Borger

Robert Casey Borger, "Bob", age 61 of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Suncoast Hospice after a long illness. He was born December 20, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Bernard and Norma Borger.

A 1980 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton, Bob was a successful professional truck driver during his working career, most recently with his long-time employer, Trucks, Inc. An avid camper, he also enjoyed canoeing, bike riding, and following auto racing, particularly NASCAR.

Bob was loved by everyone who knew him. A gentle, considerate, and generous soul, he was easy to like and easy to have fun with. He always enjoyed a good laugh. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

A loving son, father, grandfather, and brother, Bob is survived by his son, Casey (Alissa) Borger; siblings, Sue (Bob) Yates, Connie (Will) McLain, Matt Borger, and Barbara (Harvey) Myers; grandchildren, Oliver and Lena; aunt, Shirley VanArtsdalen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family.
