Robert W. Beasley

October 18, 1928 — December 30, 2024

Dayton

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert W. Beasley, a cherished figure whose kindness and unwavering work ethic shaped the lives of many. Born on October 18, 1928, in Ben Hur, Virginia, Robert led a life rich in love, family, and passionate pursuits until he departed this world on December 30, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio.

Robert dedicated his professional life to the assembly line at Sunshine Biscuits and later honed his craft in die polish at Dayton Reliable Tool. Known for being hardworking yet kind but stern, he earned the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege to work alongside him. His legacy is not merely in his career but in the profound ways he impacted those around him, particularly his beloved family.

He was a proud father to Howard (Lawanna) Beasley and Sherry (Tim) Brown, whose lives carry forward his spirit and values. As a grandfather, he delighted in the lives of his grandchildren: Kelly (Bob) Bays, Missy Beasley, Kris (Tarah) Brown, and Timmy (Brenda) Brown. Robert embraced his role as a great-grandfather with joy, creating cherished memories with Kailan (Cruz) Culbertson, Elizabeth (Grant) Bryant, Austin Beasley, Aryssa Beasley, Kristopher Brown, Noah Brown, and  Kaden Brown. Even further, he relished being a great-great-grandfather to Ryleigh, Wyatt, and Ezra watching in awe as the generations unfolded before him.

Family gatherings overflowed with laughter and love, reflecting the ties of blood and heart that connected Robert to his nieces and nephews, including Milton "Bucky" (Jackie) Beasley and many others, together weaving a rich tapestry of stories and shared memories. The presence of great-nephews Will and Curt Beasley, along with great-great-nephews Jackson and Quinn Beasley, further exemplifies the legacy of love and connection Robert leaves behind.

Robert held his parents, Howard and Manerva Beasley, and his siblings—June (Hazel) Beasley, Elza (Skeet) Beasley, Gloria (Holbert) Cornett, and Jack (Pete) Dean—close to his heart, and they will forever remain part of his cherished memory.

In his free time, Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the soulful tunes of George Jones. He spent countless hours searching for morels in the quiet woods, finding peace in nature’s embrace. He was also fond of long country drives and shared a special camaraderie in squirrel hunting with his dear friend, Everett Moore. These pastimes were not just hobbies—they were reflections of his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.

Robert's proudest accomplishment was the quality time he dedicated to his children and grandchildren. It is this legacy of love, respect, and devotion that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. As we celebrate the life of Robert W. Beasley, we honor a man whose kindness and rugged spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the memories we cherish.
