Robert V. Bailey, 94, (born March 7, 1923) departed this world on February 27, 2018. Bob (known to his friends as Shaker Man) is survived by his children, Pam Flesher and Kim (Joey) Engelman, granddaughter Kaitlyn Engelman, and was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Jo), of 60 years. He worked for Miami Industrial Trucks for 22 years and won the Most Valuable Sales Person Award seven years in a row. He also worked for Florida Lift Systems Inc. for 20 years, and won the Inner Circle Award. He was a World War II Navy veteran as an underwater salvage diver. He was a Kentucky Colonel, Mason Shriner and an avid golfer. He was a charter member of the Sycamore Creek Country Club. He was a member of The Gathering Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Sycamore Glen Retirement Community and Hospice of Dayton. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Per Bob's wishes, there will not be a service.
