Robert Allen Gutshall

GUTSHALL, Robert Allen, age 84, passed away on September 15, 2007. He was born in Middletown, OH to Ferris and Elsie Gutshall and was the youngest of four children, who all preceded him in death. As a member of the "Greatest Generation," he served in the Pacific Arena while in the U. S. Army. In 1946, he returned to Ohio and married his childhood sweetheart, Irene Slaton, who survives him along with their four children Gerald of Middletown, Paul (Pam) of Miamisburg, Kenneth (Ann) of Austin, TX, and Dianna of Albany, KY. Also surviving are five grandchildren Robert, Richard, Amy, Suzanna, and Rachel along with six great-grandchildren. Robert and Irene lived most of their lives in Middletown as he worked for Armco Steel. They retired to Dale Hollow Lake outside Albany, KY and later moved to San Marcos, TX until they returned to Ohio this year. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
