Robert A. Strasser

STRASSER, Robert A. age 88 of Kettering, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at Bethany Village. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Edith Strasser. He is survived by Dorothy, his loving wife of 62 years, his children Carol Kromer of Centerville, Don and wife Opal Strasser of Port Charlotte, FL, Barb and husband Dennis Luzio of Kettering; grandchildren Bryan and wife Amy Strasser, April and husband Robbie Staton, Alicia and husband Greg Bradshaw, Heather Luzio, Michelle Luzio and fiance Andy Groves; great grandchildren Damon and Derek Groves. Robert graduated from the University of Dayton in 1940 where he participated as a cheerleader from 1936-38. After graduating he was an actor in the Y Players. He served our country in the US Army in Japan during WWII. He retired from WPAFB after 33 years of service where he spent many years traveling for the government. He was a member of Civil Air Patrol and Central Christian Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., with Rev. David Turner officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service. Entombment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH.
