Rita B. Wilson, age 99 of Vandalia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was born on September 7, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Bernard and Carolyn Borger.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husbands, Paul R. Fessler and Frank H. Wilson; daughter, Paula Hayslett; infant daughter, Susan, granddaughter Rachel Fessler and four brothers and four sisters.
Rita is survived by her three children, Carolyn (Mike) Lewis, Dan (Kathy Neufarth) Fessler and Mark (Teresa) Fessler; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
She was a pioneer member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia. She worked many years at Lively's clothing and Maple Hill craft shop. During her lifetime she enjoyed sewing, crafts, participating in craft shows, flowers, music, reading, playing cards, and spending time at home and with her family. Rita is well loved and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
A private memorial mass will be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church on Saturday, January 30, at 2:00 pm. The mass will be viewable via live stream at https://venue.streamspot.com/08ab2659
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to extend a special thank you for their wonderful care and support.
