Rita Inez Schullerman, 67, of Dayton, OH, passed away May 16, 2017, at the Widow's Home in Dayton. Rita was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 1, 1949 to Armel and Alice (Hawkins) Rich.
Rita graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1968, and retired from Good Samaritan Hospital where she was an administrative assistant. She was a member of the VFW and the Star City Queen Bee Red Hat Society, where she served as the Queen. Rita loved to travel and see new places, which included Italy and other parts unknown, visiting all 50 states. She loved her family dearly, including those at the Widow's Home, and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynne (Dan) Miller; a son, Jeffrey Hasty; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Mariah and Skylar and two great grandchildren, Kloe and Rylie; two sisters, Brenda (Jim) Hawkey and Janey (Rick) Riley; a brother, Carl (Wanda) Mosley. She was preceded in death by her parents; a wonderful stepfather, Hershel Mosley; her husband Michael Schullerman; a niece, Rachelle Lawson; and a nephew, Jason Mosley.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am on May 22, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH, where services will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
