Rita Pietrantonio, age 90, of Kettering, OH, passed away, Saturday, December 23, 2017. Rita was born in Pretoro, Italy on September 13, 1927 to the late Saverio & Nicola Borgonsoli.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Pietrantonio; infant son, Antonio; siblings, Fr. Don Antonio, Cristina, Carmela, Maria, Assunta and Annina. Rita is survived by her son, Samuele (Melissa) Pietrantonio.
Rita worked as a seamstress at the Metropolitan, 21 & Up, and Morning Pride Mfg. She was a 50 year member of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 6-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 E. 2nd Street, Dayton, OH. Rita will be laid to rest next to her husband, Antonio, at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rita's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
