Rita Marcum
MARCUM, Rita B., 88, of Beavercreek passed away peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Miami Valley Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Antoinette Berchtold; husband Oscar Marcum; one brother; and three sisters. Rita is survived by her loving children Timothy (Ellen) Marcum of Charlotte; Patrick (Kathy) Marcum of Kansas City, Michael (Judy) Marcum of Dayton, Christine Evans of Dayton, and Kathy (Butch) Poston of Dallas; grandchildren Scott, Ashley, Christopher, Shaun, Danielle, Andrew, Kaley, Melissa, Kory, Jeremy, Bryan, and Beau; 5 great-grandchildren; many other loving family and friends.
Rita was very active in the Democratic Party and was honored to attend the Lyndon Johnson inauguration in January of 1965. She was retired from the State of Ohio as a state auditor. She also ran the Beavercreek License Bureau in the early 1960s.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Beavercreek Fire Department Auxiliary, 851 Orchard Lane, Beavercreek, Ohio 45434.
