Rita H. Kussman, age 93, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Oak Creek Terrace.
Rita was born November 20, 1924 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Clarence and Regina Nurrenbrock. She retired from Rike's Kettering after 25 plus years of service.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James "Jim" Kussman and brother, Pat Nurrenbrock.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Dave) Toole, Mike (Billie) Kussman, Carol (Bill) Haire, Bob (Pam) Kussman, and Mark (Shelly) Kussman; grandchildren, Colleen (Kelly Sather) Toole, Drs. Casey (Mandi) Toole, Nathan Kussman, Brittany Smith, Dr. Ashleigh (Lee Harris) Kussman, Kelsey Kussman, Jean Haire, Leslie Haire, Kylee Kussman, Teri Wilke, and Jaimie Wilke; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Kathleen) Nurrenbrock.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Rita will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery with her husband, Jim
The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Creek Terrace for their exceptional loving care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Rita's memory to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
