Rita G. Kuperman, age 89, of Dayton, Ohio peacefully transitioned on December 21, 2022. Rita lived as an accomplished hair salon owner and entrepreneur, real estate marketer and manager. She was an avid YMCA fitness buff who enjoyed baking, gardening, and astrology. She loved spending time and cuddling with her dog Sunny. She consumed books and knowledge, and dominated any game of Skip Bo. She competed as a notorious quilt master as evidenced by her blue ribbon recognition at the Nevada State Fair.
Still, Rita's greatest joy and passion came in the moments shared while in the company of her beloved family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jesse P. Kuperman. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Gallagher, Mark (Lee, Lucas and Tina Ludwig) Snead, and Robin (Tom) Human; grand-daughters, Ryane Gallagher, Nicole (Shawn) Palmer, Linsay (Adam) Bailey, Megan Gallagher, and Heather (Jamison) Dague; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Cayson, Adalin, Ansley, Collins, Aniya, Ralen, Olivia and Emma; and many other relatives and friends.
Rita served as the matriarch of our family for decades and bestowed upon each of us nuggets of wisdom throughout her respective journey. She served as a sounding board, confidant, a cheerleader, discipliner, and so much more throughout her lifetime. Despite her humble beginning, she challenged each of us to pursue greatness in its own right, time and time again. We were all her shining stars no matter the path we chose, she gazed upon us with the utmost love and admiration. Grandma, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy lives on in the lives of your children, your grandchildren, and beyond. You are my Sunshine.
