Rieta Marie Robertson, 80, of New Carlisle, passed away at her home Saturday, October 6th surrounded by her loving family. Known to many in her community as "Grandma", she was known for her loving and sharing nature. For many years, she worked at Tom's Deli, formerly known as Hill Top Carry-Out, where customers would request her by name to make their pizzas. She retired from Tecumseh Local Schools after 25 years of service where she was employed as a Cashier. Students recall how she would provide them with a lunch meal or extra food despite their ability to pay. Later, she would balance her cash drawer by paying for those items out of her own pocket. Mrs. Robertson was also known for her delicious popcorn, hot chocolate, sweet tea, and other bake goods she shared with spectators at the local football and baseball games. Her family will remember her as a loving, hard-working and devoted Mother and Grandmother.
Mrs. Robertson is proceeded in death by her parents, Glenn & Dortha Booher; her husband, Paul Eugene Robertson; siblings , Gary Booher, Roland, Booher, Barbara Bell, and Maxine Hurst. She is survived by her sister Jo Ellen McIntosh, her four children, Cheryl Ann Wilson, Pamela Kay Keeton, Paul Dale Robertson, and Kenneth Allen Robertson; grandchildren, Angela Marie Kidd, Amy Renee Sanford, Larie Kay Denson, Mandy Lyn Mae Slaughter, Robbie Dale Robertson, Jesse Lee Michael Wilson, David Matthew Robertson, Christa Marie Robertson, Jaden Alexander Holcomb, and Rebecca Lynn Robertson, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Dayton, Ohio.
