Ricky Lee Voiles

Ricky Lee Voiles, 69, of Dayton passed away at his home, Tuesday August 29, 2017. He retired after 30 years of service at Delphi/General Motors.

Rick lived his life as a free spirit, always quick with a smile and never knew a stranger. He was a loving family man and will be dearly missed. He was a lover of the Browns, Buckeyes, Reds, gardening, critters, including his beloved squirrels who he literally had eating out of his hands, all things outdoors, B-sci-fi movies but mostly his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Verdon L. Voiles; mother Rachel (Fowler) Voiles and brother Danny R. Voiles.

Rick is survived by his wife and best friend of 43 years, Vickie (Huhn) Voiles; brother Michael Voiles; nephew Jason and niece Jessica; daughter Brigid (Jerry) Duncan, grandchildren Mallory, Mindi, Macy and Travis. Daughter Carrie (Alan) Hoertt, grandchildren Andrew and Alex; 41/2 great grandchildren; many other family and friends and the family cats.

Private services for immediate family. A Celebration of Rick's life is being planned for a later date.
