Ricky Lee Davis

May 19, 1960 — May 8, 2024

Ricky Lee Davis, 63, went to landscape the big garden in the sky on May 8, 2024. Adored father of Eric and beloved brother of Linda Gibson, Karen Jones, Patricia (Tony) Crego and John (Sam) Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Ada Davis and brothers in law Russell Gibson and Rick Jones.

Ricky is remembered for being a free spirit. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was known to just hop on his bike and ride for hours taking in the surrounding landscape. He enjoyed playing video games, chess and dominoes. He also enjoyed NASCAR...he NEVER missed a race. He took pride in his work as a professional landscaper even taking up mowing the yards of family and friends when it was needed. His final legacy was his courageous battle against cancer. Ricky's impact that he made to make this world more beautiful will be very missed.

Family would like to offer a very special thank you to the amazing staff of Legacy of Kettering. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Saturday May 18, 2024 at 11:00 am with service to follow at 12:00 pm. Please consider a donation in his memory to Crossroads Hospice https://www.crhcf.org/donate.
