Ricky L. Collett

Ricky Lynn Collett, age 47, of Harrison Township, passed away on October 30, 2021. Ricky was born to Monroe "Bodie" and Joan Collett on September 22, 1974.

Ricky was a welder for almost 30 years at Southern Ornamental Iron. He loved vintage cars, and was the proud owner of a blue 1969 Chevelle. His constant and loyal companion was his beloved dog, Brooke. He was a jokester, and he frequently answered the phone saying, "No Chinese pizza for you!" He enjoyed spending his free time relaxing with a beer and hanging out with his friends. He loved his friends, but his family was always number 1 in his heart. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Bodie Collett, and his "Nanny", Dorothy Cox.

Ricky's memory will be cherished by his loving children: Courtney (Frank) Collett and Kennedy Collett; grandchildren: Maxton and Marlee Clark; his mother, Joan Collett; brother, Brian Collett; his sister, Tabitha (Shawn) Collett; and many nephews, his niece, cousins, family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Ricky will be interred at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
