Rickie D. Eldred

Rickie D. Eldred, known to many as "Rick", passed away on August 10, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 24, 1952 to the late Richard & Katherine Eldred. He retired as a Master Plumber from Schott Plumbing after 53 years. 

Rick was an avid Bengals and Reds fan, and he loved to go the games with his family. If he wasn't watching his favorite teams play, he could be found flying his drone around to take pictures and videos. He also enjoyed playing video games on his computer, but his favorite thing to do was to take vacations with his family in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandpa and great-grandpa, and his presence and his love will be deeply missed. 

Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda Eldred; his son, Jason (Sarah) Eldred; grandchildren: Carrie, Sara, Alyssa (Tevin), Jackson, and Lucy; great-grandchildren: Maizy, Zoe, and Elias; two brothers, Randy (Celeste) Eldred and Brian Eldred; a host of nieces and nephews, and many more family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his cousin, Rodney Eldred, and to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dayton.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where a Memorial Service will begin at 6:00pm.
