Rickey Jay Landess

Rickey Jay Landess, 70, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024. Loving husband of Joanne for 26 years, cherished father of James (Kimberly) Landess, Robert (Dana) Landess, Allen Landess and Jared Doncaster and adored papaw of James, Chrissy, Kyle, Treacie, Emmit, Morgan, Logan, Alley, Jeremy and Brimley. Rickey is also survived by his brothers Don (Emma) Landess and Roger Landess as well as two great grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews and friends. 

Rickey was preceded in death by his parents Garland and Veda Mae Landess.

Rickey was born in Wilmington, Ohio on January 19, 1954. He graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and after graduation he went on to be a mechanic for most of his career. After he retired from being a mechanic he went on to being an accomplished scroll sawer for Woodcraft. Some of his creations were even featured in magazines.

In his spare time Rickey enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was known to be a very kind and loving person. He was always happy. He was a proud member of Victory Baptist Church in Beavercreek, Ohio. He will be very missed by all who knew him.

Public visitation will be held at Victory Baptist Church (1020 Beaver Valley Rd, Dayton, OH 45434) on Monday November 25, 2024 at 11:00 am with funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
